Pre-Rhino is a book constructed out of remnants of a plastic surgeon's photographs of his patients before and after their operations.

As a result of the way the book is bound, there are more images yet to be seen hidden within its pages, to get to which the viewer is asked to cut into the art object, destroying it in the process.

This cut is intended to mirror the violence of the photograph in an institutional setting and its cold, objectifying gaze in a way that implicates the audience themselves.
